Forged Fear

2024, Steel Rod, 3' x 3' x 2'

These things materialize in hot showers, in paced footsteps, and in the long drive home from work to avoid 5 more minutes with an unoccupied mind. I believe fear is a guide and the rest we do to ourselves in avoidance. We brush up against it and put up barriers, but rarely do we see it as a friend and invite it over for tea. Rarely do we allow it to sit uncomfortably close to us and take up space. Because of this, many never see that it is guiding us away from a cyclical life of regret.

Half-Baked

2024, Epson Printer, Walnut Night-Stand, Housing Foam, and Fabric, 2' x 2' x 5'

I’ve dropped a printer and modified the remains to reflect my experiences with self isolation after the Covid-19 Pandemic. This piece is an attempt to emphasize a subtle longing for a healthier past self and a monument to those who go about their lives feeling less than whole or half-baked.

Bed Rotting

2024, Cast Concrete, Acrylic Paint, and High Gloss Varnish, 6" x 6" x 9"

This monument is a reflection of those who are deemed overly sensitive to their environment. When lacking an outlet for emotional pain, those with sensitive antennae can find chronic comfort in rejecting themselves long before others have the chance to make an opinion on them.

Everyone Poops

2025, Turf, 5 Gallon Bucket, Toilet Seat, Posca Paint Markers, Studio Light, Machined Sign, Wood, Toilet Paper, 16”x20”x8”

Everyone Poops was a collaborative installation made with the help of classmates Shawn Sweeney and Caden Mills after gender inclusive signage was temporarily removed from campus bathrooms following the dissolution of DEI programs by the 2025 Trump Oligarchy. This installation provided a safe space for students within our school to voice their fear, anger, and hope through written graffiti on institutional walls.
